Charlie R. Johnson

charlieCharlie R. Johnson is the founder of Johnson, Murrell & Associates. Prior to attending law school at the University of Tennessee, Charlie was a professional aerial photographer for ten years working in the Photogrammetry and Coastal Mapping Division of the former U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey, currently known as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). His background in aerial surveying and cartography uniquely qualifies him for a real estate practice.

Mr. Johnson was elected by the people of the City of Sevierville and served eight years as the Mayor of Sevierville. Thereafter, he served for eight years as member of the Board of Mayor and Alderman and most of those years served on the Planning Commission and as the Chairman of the Board of Water Works and Sewage Commissioner for the City.

Mr. Johnson resides in the City of Sevierville and has always been active in its civic, social, and religious affairs. Johnson has been an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Sevierville Lions Club, and serves as a Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Sevierville. Johnson was a Director of the Foothills Land Conservancy, and officer of the Foothills Parkway Association, and is a member of the Walters State Community College Sevier County Campus Development Council and a member of the Board of Trustees of Walters State Community College Foundation, and was formerly a member of the Board of Advisory of the Department of Geography at the University of Tennessee. He currently serves as Chairman for the Thompson Cancer Survivor Foundation and as a Trustee for the Tennessee Baptist Foundation.

Charlie Johnson graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a degree in Political Science and holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration, as well as a Doctorate of Jurisprudence, from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He has practiced law in Sevierville, Tennessee since 1976. He now focuses his practice in the areas of real estate and estate planning.
